B&W FIREARMS

In 1974 B&W Firearms was established as part-time, full service, well stocked Gun Shop in an empty plumbing showroom at the corner of Prospect and Depot Streets in Cheshire by brothers-in-law Bob Lamb and Wayne McGrath. What started out as "part-time" turned into a much bigger business than was planned and their full-time jobs demanded priority. After six years, the difficult decision was made to sell the business. Bob retained the Gunsmithing part of the business and the location changed a few times over the years. Now, the shop resides adjacent to Bob's home at 88 Dean St., at the corner of Richmond and Dean Streets in Cheshire. In 2019, Bob's friend Tom Francesconi came aboard as an apprentice and serves as a valuable asset to the shop.

Since 1974, Bob has provided quality firearms repair at a reasonable price. B&W Firearms places emphasis on responsiveness, performance, and quality. Bob is a Certified Armorer and Gunsmith and the shop serves law enforcement officials, Title II NFA Weapons (with tax stamp), gun shops, and the public. B&W Firearms is a full working machine shop including TIG, MIG, stick, and gas welding.

Although B&W Firearms does not sell new guns, they do sell estate and used firearms. Their goal is to make sure whatever firearm their customers choose, or are looking for, is right for that individual and performs according to their specific expectations. They are happy to advise you before you make a purchase, regardless of where you decide to purchase your firearms.

The quality, improvement, and performance B&W Firearms provides is based on 50 years of proven results from custom trigger work, barrel work, optics for hunting and competitions, or for just plain fun. Unless requested by the customer, aftermarket parts or "kits" are not used. All work is done at the highest standards and is guaranteed.
